Program Specifics

Introducing Ed: You will find a ready-made introduction for Ed here. We ask that your introducer read it as written. Customizing for your audience may be possible if you notify us of what you wish to change at least two weeks in advance.

Networking events: Ed believes in meeting as many audience members as possible during your meeting. This provides him with better insight into their needs, resulting in a more finely-tailored performance. He will attend social events that are part of your meeting upon your invitation, schedule allowing. Late night events are discouraged.

Ed generally will not speak following a cocktail party or reception where alcohol is featured. No, he is not a prude. He simply knows it is wise to avoid an audience that has been overly lubricated.

Announcements: Please avoid any lengthy award ceremonies or moments of silence for departed colleagues before introducing Ed and immediately after his presentation. Such announcements will dissipate the energy of the group and distract them from the learning Ed offers.

Photographers: We encourage you to take photos of Ed to include in your publications. All we ask is that you not take any photos for the first 15 minutes of his presentation; this will prove distracting to both him and the audience. He is more than happy to pose for shots during a break.

Interruptions: Please do everything possible to avoid disruptions like clattering dishes and slamming doors during Ed's presentation. If a meal is served at your function, direct the wait staff not to serve dessert, bus tables, or offer coffee service while he is speaking. Placing the dessert on the table before attendees are seated is a good idea. We encourage you to make an announcement so the audience knows there will be no service during his remarks.

Vegetarian meal: If your meeting occurs during breakfast, lunch, or dinner, please order a vegan vegetarian meal for Ed. There is no need to order a special meal if food is served buffet style.
