“Communications Training TV” Channel Advances Learning for Busy Executives
Executives seeking to sharpen their communications edge can now tune in a new video resource—"Communications Training TV"—produced by communications expert Ed Barks. The online channel broadcasts at www.youtube.com/user/EdBarks.
“Communications Training TV will feature concise video lessons for on-the-go executives who have neither the time nor the inclination to sit in front of their computer for an extended period,” said Barks, who serves as president of Barks Communications. “I encourage those who want to improve their communications skills—particularly visual learners—to tune in.”
Most Communications Training TV videos will be three- to six-minute features, and will highlight learning moments based on the areas in which Barks works with his clients—dealing with the media, speaking in public, testifying on Capitol Hill, and preparing association executives for Washington fly-ins.
Communications Training TV launches with three video lessons. The initial productions are titled “Media Training Basics,” “The Three Keys to Great Presentations,” and “The Five Minute Approach to Legislative Testimony.” All can be viewed at www.youtube.com/user/EdBarks.
“Each of us has our own learning style,” Barks explained. “Communications Training TV is designed for those who learn best visually.”
Ed Barks works with corporate and association executives who deal with reporters and members of Congress, and with public affairs experts who want a seat at the decision-making table. The former radio broadcaster is the author of The Truth About Public Speaking: The Three Keys to Great Presentations. As President of Barks Communications since 1997, he has taught more than 3000 business leaders, association executives, government officials, athletes, entertainers, non-profit executives, and public relations staff how to succeed when they deal with the media, deliver presentations, and testify before government officials.
