January 28 Discussion Centers on How to “Sing” When the Boss Says It’s Showtime
Association executives will have a special opportunity to participate in a discussion led by Ed Barks on Thursday, January 28, in Reston, Virginia. The dialogue will focus on strategies to help participants reduce anxiety and structure presentations when the boss tells them they must speak in public for the organization.
Barks will share his insights at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) idea swap. The title of the discussion is “When the Boss Hollers ‘Showtime’ You'd Better Know How to Sing.” The learning principles are based on his book The Truth About Public Speaking: The Three Keys to Great Presentations.
Advance registration is required, and may be completed online. Specifics are as follows:
- Date: Thursday, January 28, 2010
- Time: 3 to 5 p.m.
- Place: Veris Consulting, LLC; 11710 Plaza America Drive; Suite 300; Reston, Virginia
