“Communications Training TV” Doubles Learning Lineup

"Communications Training TV" today doubled the number of lessons it offers by adding three new learning videos. The online channel broadcasts at www.youtube.com/user/EdBarks.

“These new video lessons add to the depth offered by Communications Training TV,” said Ed Barks, the service’s founder and producer. “More tutorials on a wide range of communications topics are forthcoming in the weeks and months ahead.”

The first new offering is titled, “Dealing with American Reporters: An Introduction for International Spokespeople.” It provides an overview for international executives posted to the United States for business or diplomatic purposes. The video explains customs of the American media the executives should follow if they hope to advance their organization’s goals in the U.S.

The second lesson, “You’re on the Radio! Best Practices for Radio Talk Show Guests,” puts forward advice for experts planning a radio talk show campaign. Barks’ experience as a radio broadcaster shows its value in this program.

“Powerful Communication for B-School Grads” is the third new addition to
"Communications Training TV". While the curriculum at the typical graduate business school includes subjects like business strategy, financial reporting, and marketing, it often neglects to teach students how they can communicate their ideas effectively. Barks helps fill that void.

“I encourage international executives on assignment the U.S., MBA students, and those about to embark on a radio talk show promotion to tune in to Communications Training TV,” Barks said. “It can provide a real springboard for learning.”

"Communications Training TV" (www.youtube.com/user/EdBarks) features three- to six-minute video lessons, and highlights learning moments based on the areas in which Barks works with his clients—dealing with the media, speaking in public, testifying on Capitol Hill, and preparing association executives for Washington fly-ins.

Ed Barks works with corporate and association executives who deal with reporters and members of Congress, and with public affairs experts who want a seat at the decision-making table. The former radio broadcaster is the author of
The Truth About Public Speaking: The Three Keys to Great Presentations. As President of Barks Communications since 1997, he has taught more than 3000 business leaders, association executives, government officials, athletes, entertainers, non-profit executives, and public relations staff how to succeed when they deal with the media, deliver presentations, and testify before government officials.
