Extended Learning Program Delivers Communications Knowledge, Budget Certainty

Communications consultant and author Ed Barks has revitalized his extended learning program to better fit today’s economic times. Corporations and associations are now able to lock in his professional fees on a long-term basis for communications training and consulting services.

“I believe our corporate and association clients will find this an attractive option. It assures their executives of the learning they need on a sustained basis while delivering budget certainty in tenuous times,” Barks said. “It also makes sense for our public relations and public affairs agency clients.”

Under the plan, Barks’ clients can take advantage of one or more days of media, presentation skills, or legislative testimony training services every month. They can choose to use the sessions as refresher courses for the same individuals or for different initiatives and participants.

Additionally, the extended commitment entitles workshop participants to telephone and e-mail support as well as added benefits like lower fees on additional products and services, priority booking privileges, and the right to reserve tentative dates for longer periods.

Barks pays all travel expenses and furnishes an experienced videographer as part of the package.

“Regardless what turns the economy may take, we want to help our clients continue to find the pathways to success,” he explained. “This extended learning package gives them a significant edge over the competition with the added bonus of budget stability.”

The revised extended learning program represents one more way Barks helps cushion the impact on its clients brought on by current economic conditions. It comes on the heels of two programs Barks announced last month to aid his clients. The first, Communications TARP (Training Assistance Rescue Program), is created for clients who depend on Barks for communications training and consulting services. The second, Economic CARE (Conference Attendance Rescue Engine), assists clients who rely on his speaking expertise.

Ed Barks works with corporate and association executives who need a magnetic message and sharp communications skills, and with public affairs and public relations experts who counsel their bosses and clients. The former radio broadcaster is the author of The Truth About Public Speaking: The Three Keys to Great Presentations. As President of Barks Communications since 1997, he has taught more than 3000 business leaders, association executives, government officials, athletes, entertainers, non-profit executives, and public relations staff how to succeed when they deal with the media, deliver presentations, and testify before government officials.
