Express Training Media Clinic Adds "Winning with the Media" Insider Tip Sheet
Barks Communications has added a new benefit to its Express Training media coaching clinic. Each participant in the one-hour telephone session now receives a copy of company President Ed Barks’ "Winning with the Media" Insider Techniques tip sheet.
"Lifelong learning is vital to success in the press," Barks emphasized. "The Express Training clinic can help sharpen every client’s communications edge. But it is up to each individual to take the next steps toward improvement. That is where our 'Winning with the Media' Insider Techniques sheet comes into play."
"Winning with the Media," a concise two-page guide, "lights the path to successful media interviews," according to Barks. It contains to-the-point advice on such matters as preparation, answering questions, nonverbal qualities, and attitude adjustment.
The Express Training clinic affords valuable media relations tips designed to help participants prepare for their exchanges with reporters. In addition, it allots time for practice interviews. The goal is to provide trainees with a tighter message, sharpened interview skills, and a renewed focus on what it takes to succeed when dealing with the press.
The telephone clinic offers a time-saving alternative when events dictate a rapid response or when experienced spokespeople need a brush up. However, as Barks pointed out, "Express Training is not a substitute for a comprehensive media training workshop with its meticulous approach to message development and interview skills."
