Resource Guides Extend Workshop Learning
Barks Communications has released two new learning tools for use in conjunction with its communications training workshops.
One of the new guides is designed for clients participating in media training workshops; the other is targeted at presentation skills training participants.
"These guides augment the benefits for our clients who take advantage of Barks' media training and presentation skills training workshops," said company President Edward J. Barks, who authored both publications.
Each individual who takes part in a Barks media training session receives a copy of Face the Press with Confidence: The Media Interview Companion. "This is the vehicle that can help you navigate the rush hour traffic you encounter when you deal with reporters," writes Barks in the new guide.
The up-to-the-minute resource covers such essential topics as taking charge of media interviews, composing a magnetic message, sharpening non-verbal tools, and maintaining a winning attitude.
"Experienced trainers realize that learning does not occur in one day," Barks explained. "Face the Press with Confidence serves as a real world refresher course that concentrates on the issues we teach in depth during our media training sessions."
Each Barks client who takes part in a presentation skills training workshop obtains a copy of Keep the Audience on Your Side: The Public Speaking Companion, also penned by Ed Barks. In the new guide he writes, "let's face it; accomplished speakers are the ones who succeed in climbing the corporate ladder."
"Keep the Audience on Your Side demonstrates how users can advance their careers while carrying the day for their organization and its issues," Barks said. "It provides details about Barks' Three Keys to Great Presentations - preparation, presentation, and assessing feedback. This new guide reinforces the essentials we cover in our clients' presentation skills training workshop."
Barks Communications also offers the guides on an exclusive basis to its public relations agency partners. "We're pleased to be able to co-brand both of these learning resources with our agency partners," Barks announced. "It's one more way we help our partners stay in the forefront of their clients' minds."
Copies of Face the Press with Confidence: The Media Interview Companion and Keep the Audience on Your Side: The Public Speaking Companion, are available for $15 each from Barks Communications at (540) 955-0600.
Agency principals wishing to discuss co-branding opportunities should call Ed Barks directly at (540) 955-0600.
