U.S. Chamber Again Taps Barks to Lead Media Relations Course

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has reappointed Barks Communications President Ed Barks to its Institute for Organization Management faculty.

He will again serve as instructor for the popular “Communicating Through the Media” course at the Northeast Institute to be held at Villanova University in Philadelphia on July 29, 2014.

The “Communicating Through the Media” curriculum focuses on delivering a message with impact, message preparation, and targeting the right media outlets.

“It is always a delight to teach the association and chamber of commerce executives who attend the Institute for Organization Management program,” Barks said. “It’s a great forum for an exchange of knowledge, and I’m glad to be able to learn as well as teach.”

“The Institute also offers plenty of opportunity to share ideas with fellow faculty members,” he continued. “This helps all of us sharpen our skills across a wide variety of disciplines.”

Institute for Organization Management is a professional development program originated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1921. The curriculum encompasses a range of issues that association and chamber of commerce professionals confront.
